Among them, outdoor LED advertising screens have already claimed a significant share of the market, replacing countless traditional signage with their unique display effects. There are many installation methods for LED advertising screens, including wall-mounted, high-pole, suspended, and embedded installations, among others.
Not long ago, I heard a rather amusing and somewhat concerning story. A police station's LED display screen suddenly lost power, causing data loss, and the display mistakenly showed (Eight Female Corpses). This truly scared more than just us. Thanks to the timely repair from the supplier, the problem was solved, but the data loss led to a big mishap and an embarrassing situation. Let's skip the pictures to avoid further complications.
Just after hearing such an amusing story, we encountered a customer in the outdoor LED advertising screen business, who had recently been dealing with a lot of frustration. He had received numerous feedback and complaints that were giving him a headache.
It turned out that common outdoor LED advertising screens, due to their high power consumption, generally do not have batteries and rely entirely on external power sources. In contrast, the smartphones we use are equipped with batteries, so even if there is a sudden power outage, it does not affect the device or data. However, the same is not true for outdoor LED advertising signs. If a sudden power failure occurs and there is no battery backup, and the Flash memory is in the process of reading or writing, the impact can be significant, causing data loss and corruption within the Flash.
Many advertisers had "complained" to him, as sudden power outages in outdoor LED advertising screens led to data loss in the internal storage chips. This affected the advertising and brand effects for the advertisers, resulting in repeated complaints. Why were the advertisers so upset about the sudden power failure?
